Restoran Bibik Neo @ Jalan Merdeka, Melaka

What food can you find in Melaka, i would say that i definitely go a place that serve good Baba-Nyonya food and cendol. I went to Bibik Neo since my sister recommended me. As we seldom travel to Melaka, it took us few rounds to find it.

It was not easy to notice this place. But luckily, we were able to locate it after a few calls to the restaurant.

The keropok was so good that we wanted to buy it from the restaurant owner. The keropok are only available at the shop opposite of Bibik Neo named 'Kapitan'

The Sambal Belacan(Rm 8) with Ikan Bilis has the 'omh' for it's spiciness and with crispy anchovies(ikan bilis). You can also dip your keropok into the belacan.

Lemak Fish(Jernak) (Rm 26), it was the first time i heard a fish name Jernak, but since it was the waitress's recommendation, we gave it a shot. The dish was not too spicy with a bit of sourish taste from the pineapple.

Chincalok Omelet(Rm 8), i guess nothing could go wrong for this, except for its saltiness.

Kangkung Belacan (Rm 8.00)

Among all dishes, Chicken Pongteh (Rm 12) was a big disappointment. We didn't like the diluted gravy and the chicken was overcooked resulting a tough meat to bite on.

A bowl of Sago Gula Melaka/Cendol(Rm 2.80) is a must if you come to Melaka. The strong taste of gula melaka is the bomb compared to those cendol in K.L. Every scoop of it, you could taste the fragrance of it.

Hing Long Taiwanese Noodle House @ Melaka

If you're thinking of a bowl of Taiwanese spicy beef noodle, then this is the perfect place for you. Previously, i went to its branch in Damansara uptown and few days ago I went to Melaka and had the original one in Jalan Bachang.

Be prepare with tissues because you're going to sweat a lot. Eating spicy food with the hot environment. Although they had 5 fans, but it still hot consider the 'kitchen' is just near us.

Spicy beef noodle(rm 4.20), small. The noodle's here are smooth, unlike the one in D.U, which you feel like eating a lump of noodles. Beef was tender and soup was just heavenly.

Address for Melaka shop: 11-J, Jalan Bachang, 75350 Melaka.

Hakka Mee & Beef Noodle @ Seremban

Whenever i travel to Seremban, its a must to have 2 foods, Tow Kee hakka mee and Sin Yee Kee beef noodle. I'll never get the similar taste in P.J. This 2 shops are located one floor above the wet market, where you can see the food court.

First, Tow Kee hakka mee. This shop had been operating since i was a kid. As i said, this is one a the 'must' food in Seremban.

The homemade noodles were not too soft, chewy and topped with minced meat and spring onion. Add some pepper to enhance the taste. In P.J, the nearest taste to this hakka mee is in Aman Suria.

Next, Sin Yee Kee beef noodle.

Tender beef with thick starchy gravy and sesame seeds. The beef noodle here was not as good as before. Since the son slowly take over the business of the shop, the beef noodle standard had been inconsistent.

Prince Cafe @ SS2, P.J

After a game of badminton, think its time to have something to replenish our energy. Prince Cafe was our choice for dinner.

Hong Kong Style Beef Fried Rice(rm 8.90), this is among all the best. Tender beef with aromatic fried rice.

Honey Roasted Ribs Rice(rm 9.90), it is just average. They had put too much sauce resulting that the rice tasted like porridge.

Pork Chop Cheese Baked Rice(rm 14.90). This was very disappointing, when i remove the cheese. Something goes wrong, all i can see is porridge, instead of "baked rice". I would prefer the cheese baked rice in Kim Gary.

Pizza Milano @ One Utama, P.J.

I'm always curious of this place every time i passed by, never try it until Nicole suggested this place for our lunch. Pizza Milano is just located near TGV cinema.

The Meatball Bolognese(rm7.99), the spaghetti was very dry, not having enough sauce. The meatball tasted like those in supermarket, as though you're eating rubber meatballs.

Creamy Spicy Olio(rm8.99), this smells real good. Sadly, it is very spicy and too dry although the picture shows that it has a large amount of cream sauce but its just not sufficient.

Chicken Lasagna, thick creamy sauce but nothing special about it. Cryo and i conclude that this is the best among the meals we ordered in Milano.

Hawaiian Pizza(rm9.99), I personally did not like the crust, it was too thin and over baked. Others(ingredient) was acceptable.

This is just not my kind of place to have Italian foods.

Choong Kee Kampar Claypot Chicken Rice Restaurant @ Damansara Jaya

The best thing about this place is that, their claypot rice are charcoal burnt, which give you a traditional taste. Most of the claypot in other place are using gas which doesn't taste as good as charcoal burn. There had been people saying that the standard dropped, did not taste as good as before. I decided to come back to this place after a few months. Located outside Atria and beside Domino's Pizza.

You get a table, look at the laminated A4 paper(menu) and go to the lady(in the picture) and order what you want. Basically, this place sells only claypot chicken rice. But the deciding part is whether you want to add Chinese sausages/egg/salted fish/more chicken. You can also order steamed soup and greens.

We ordered the greens, Yau Mak with oyster sauce. Everything was okay except that the oyster sauce tasted real bad. I'm wondering is that vegetarian oyster sauce.

Then, came the steamed soup. Watercrest soup(front), Pig stomach pepper soup(back). The watercrest and pork stomach was soft, just the way i like it. The downside is, both soup are poured with generous amount of MSG.

Lastly, the one that we waited for so long. The best thing comes last right? But it was a bad experience for us. Our claypot rice came last because we ordered the small one. Even the table that sat beside us came faster than us. I asked the lady and she told me that they will be serving the large one first. Isn't it suppose to be first come first serve basis? We waited for more than 30 minutes! The claypot chicken rice was not as good as before, the rice was too dry that day. Other than that, others was okay especially the chicken.

Daily 12pm to 2.30pm, 5pm to 9.30pm,
Closed on Wednesday.

Face to Face Pan Mee @ SS15, Subang Jaya

I'd been to this restaurant a few times during my studies in main campus, as to accompany my friends. This is the first time for me to return this year and it did not fail to disappoint me. The food was just way below average.

Located at the same row of McD. You'll be able to see the shop after a few shops.

I ordered the Honey Milk to quench my thirst. I'm just drinking condensed milk with honey. Imagine the sweetness, it just taste awful.

Never fail to disappoint me. The noodles was overcooked(too soft), the anchovies and minced meat had burnt smell. Lastly, the egg, which was very raw, wasn't my liking. I would recommend you a better place that serve pan mee, here.

Madam Lim's @ Sunway Giza, Kota Damasara

I had been wondering if there's anything(food) attractive and delicious in Giza Mall. Then, Cryo introduced me this place to have our lunch. Located 1 floor up from the escalator and walk till the end. You'll be able to notice Madam Lim's, it is just beside a jewelry shop.

This place is mostly selling Chinese, Nyonya and Thai Fusion Cuisine.

Carrot milk(rm 9.90 for Jumbo), unlike juices in other restaurant that have 1/2 sugar water/ice & 1/2 juice. Which you feel like being cheated for drinking flavour drinking water. In Madam Lim's, the juice is almost pure.

Strawberry with milk(rm 4.90). The milk tasted more like yogurt to me. Not a bad combination.

We ordered the lunch set. First, Kam Heong Beef Set(rm 13.90). The sauce was aromatic and taste great. Bad thing is that, my beef is overcooked which made the meat tough.

Sweet and Sour Fish Set(rm 12.90). Nothing special about this, average. Other Chinese restaurant could have been better than this.

The set comes with a small piece of fried fish, mix vegetable/四大天王(Four heavenly King), soup and fruits. Would be back for more, Ala-Carte which Cryo claimed that its more worth it than the sets.
