I heard of duck egg char kuey teow and it is very well known in Penang but i had never try it. There was once while i'm reading Star newspaper i saw SamCheong writing his experience with duck egg char kuey teow in Subang Jaya. Out of curiosity, i decided to try it with my classmates.
The restaurant is a corner shop, not hard to find it.
The char kuey teow stall is named Red Leaf. The stall's board wrote duck egg char kuey teow, so we assume that they only sell their specialty. We ordered char kuey teow, without knowing that we should be specific by saying 'duck egg' char kuey teow. Turn out our first plate to be the normal chicken egg kuey teow we ate.
We decided to order another plate, which is what we came here for, duck egg char kuey teow(Rm 5). We only can conclude that the eggs have different taste, but the overall was nothing special, doesn't taste good, no 'wok hei'. To be more precise, they are using hor fun to fry instead of kuey teow. It was a big disappointment for us.

My friend ate at this restaurant but cos she was ill, she brought her own water. The boss refused to let her drink her water. She explained her illness but boss insisted she cannot drink despite she ate there. The boss then reminded my friend not to come again to his restaurant. Unlimited, I will remember this restaurant.
